About Hank PDF Print E-mail

I have been obsessed with computers since I was 12 years old and have been repairing computers for the past 7 years. At some point I realized that repairing desktops and laptops is okay, but what I REALLY enjoy is recovering data from a "dead" hard drives. Where other people give up, I see a wonderful opportunity to solve a problem.

I enjoy using the three major operating systems: Linux, Windows, and Mac OS - but I am truly a linux fanatic. Linux is a free operating system that allows users to work intimately with the fine details of the computer at the command line, or use a graphical interface like people are used to on a modern Windows or Mac OS.

I do lots of things with computers, including programming, database, server development, and some web development. The truth is that I'm not the greatest web developer because I understand information better than I understand aesthetics. So, while I can build a server to do most anything, I don't know how to make a website look "pretty". I also enjoy what is referred to as "white hat hacking"  - I enjoy extending the usefulness of electronics by working on them. I do enjoy hacking and I am saddened by the notion that all "hacking" involves illegal activity.

I am married to Lisa, who is employed as a middle school teacher. Lisa and I love having our summers off together to travel or just kick around the house. We also have a cat, Gracie, whom we rescued from the Hickman County, Tn Humane Society.

I volunteer with the Clarksville Habitat for Humanity ReStore. The ReStore sells donated building materials and hardware and uses the proceeds to provide cost-effective housing for low income residents.

My favorite website is http://reddit.com.

My professional training is as a school psychologist, and I am employed as a school counselor.

Above all, I'm delighted that you're considering letting me work with your data. I do this because I enjoy it- and as a result, I think I do a very good job!
